Raquel Lojendio
Raquel Lojendio est née à Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Elle a fait ses études au Conservatoire local supérieur de musique et au Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique du Lycée avec Carmen Bustamante. Elle a participé à des Master classes avec Maria Oran et Krisztina Laki. Elle a travaillé avec des chefs d'orchestre tels que Sir Neville Marriner, Fruhbeck de Burgos, Lopez Cobos, Juanjo Mena, Victor Pablo Perez, Jiri, Kout, Edmon Colomer, Pablo, Gonzales, Vassili Petrenko, Pedro Halffter, Josep Pons, Maximiano Valdés, Enrique Garcia Asensio, Christoph Konig, José Collado, Filippo Maria Bressan, Ros Marba, et Julian Kovatchev. Elle a chanté dans les principaux Operas en Espagne et a fait des apparitions à l'étranger au: Teatro Verdi di Trieste, Cankarjev Dom à Ljubiana, Teatro Municipal de Cali, Griegshalle à Bergen, Palacio Lichtenstein à Vienne, l'auditoire "Giovanni Agnelli" au Lingotto, au concert RAI à Turin et aux Halles aux grains à Toulouse. Raquel Lojendio was born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. She studied at the local Conservatorio Superior de Música and the Conservatorio Superior de Música del Liceo with Carmen Bustamante. She has taken part in masterclasses with María Orán and Krisztina Laki. She was awarded First Prize at the "Festival Músicos Jóvenes de Barcelona" (1999) and at the "Certamen Regional de Canto de Caja Canarias" (2000), and she was a finalist at the "Iris Adami Corradetti" international competition (2007). Some of the opera roles she has performed include: Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Silverklang in Der Schauspieldirektor, Violetta in Traviata, Gato in El Gato con botas, Sandman in Hansel und Gretel, La Statua in Pigmalion, Gasparina in La Canterina, Nanetta in Falstaff, Morgana in Alcina and Frasquita in Carmen. Her concert repertoire includes Mahler´s “Symphonies 4 and 8”, Mozart´s “Exultate Jubilate” and “Requiem”, Orff´s “Carmina Burana”, Beethoven´s “Chirstus am Ölberge” , Shostakovich´s "Symphony 14", Villalobos´s “Bacchianas Brasileiras”, Haydn´s “Die Schöpfung”, Stravinsky´s “Les Noces”, and Frank Martin´s “ Maria-Triptychon”.
She has performed with the most important Spanish orchestras: Orquesta Nacional de España, Orquesta Sinfónica de Cadaqués, Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias, Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife, Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León, Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria and Orquesta Sinfónica de Baleares. Abroad, with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai di Torino, Bergen Filharmoniske Orkester, Dresdner Philharmonie Orchestra Filarmonica "Giuseppe Verdi" di Trieste and Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse. She has sung in the main Opera Houses in Spain, and has appeared abroad at: Teatro Verdi di Trieste, Cankarjev Dom in Ljubiana, Teatro Municipal de Cali, Griegshalle in Bergen, Palacio Lichtenstein in Vienna, Auditorium "Giovanni Agnelli" at the Lingotto, RAI´s concert venue in Turin and in Halle aux Grains in Toulouse Lojendio has recorded for the following labels: Deutsche Grammophon, Naxos, Licanus, Rtve Música, y Chandos
