Né en 1981 à Paris dans une famille de musiciens, Aurélien Pontier révèle très tôt des dispositions exceptionnelles pour le piano. Il se produit sur la scène de l'Opéra de Paris dès l'âge de 9 ans, puis participe l'année suivante au Festival de Musique des Adirondacks (New York) et aux "Nuits Symphoniques" de l'Orchestre National de Lyon.

Remarqué par Emmanuel Krivine, directeur de cette formation, il est engagé comme soliste (à l'âge de 12 ans) dans le double concerto de Mozart et le premier concerto de Chopin sous la direction de Sylvain Cambreling et Peter Csaba. Simultanément, après un premier prix à l'unanimité au conservatoire de Boulogne-Billancourt, il intègre à 13 ans le Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris dans la classe de Jean-François Heisser.

En 1998, il se voit décerner le premier prix de piano et remporte la même année le premier prix à l'unanimité du Concours International de Jeunes Pianistes - Vladimir Kraïnev - de Kharkov (Ukraine).

Dès lors il joue régulièrement dans de nombreux festivals en France comme à l'étranger : Radio-France "Présences", Festival de Montpellier, Chioggia (Italie), Lake Placid (USA), Kiev, Moscou, Festival International de Colmar...

Actuellement, il continue d'élargir son répertoire auprès de Konstantin Bogino, et bénéficie des conseils de maîtres prestigieux : Vladimir Kraïnev, Murray Perahia, Maria Joao Pires, Rena Cherechevskaia...

On a pu l'entendre récemment en direct sur France-Musiques dans l'émission "Scène ouverte" consacrée aux jeunes lauréats de concours internationaux, dans l'émission " l'Atelier du Musicien" de Jean-Pierre Derrien, à l'Auditorium du Louvre , à l'Arsenal de Metz, à la salle Tchaikovski de Moscou, ...

Aurélien Pontier poursuit également une intense activité de chambriste, ayant pour partenaires Marc Coppey, Tatjana Vassilieva, David Grimal, Bertrand Chamayou, François Salque, Lise Berthaud, Alissa Margulis, Valérie Aimard, Pierre-Henri Xuereb, Liana Gourdjia, le Quatuor Johannes, Marina Chiche, Sébastien Van Kuijk, Alexandra Grot...

En 2005 il remporte le concours international de Chioggia (Italie) grâce une interprétation remarquée du 2ème Concerto de Chopin. L’année suivante Aurélien Pontier est lauréat de la fondation « Arts Academy » de Rome.

Born in 1981 in Paris in a family of musicians, Aurélien Pontier very early reveals exceptional gifts for the piano. abroad: Radio-France "Presence 94", Festival of Montpellier, Chioggia (Italy), Lake Placid (USA), Kiev (Ukraine), International Festival of Colmar, Ingolstadt ( Germany) ...

Currently, he continues to widen its repertory with Konstantin Bogino, and is advised by prestigious Masters: Vladimir Kraïnev, Murray Perahia, Maria Joao Pires, Rena Cherechevskaia...
One could hear it recently on line on France-Musics in the emission "Scène Ouverte" devoted to the young prizes winner of international contests and in"L'atelier du Musicien", on prestigious scenes like the Auditorium of the Louvre, the Arsenal of Metz, the big Tchaikovski Hall in Moscow.
Aurélien Pontier also continues an intense activity of chambrist, having for partners Tatjana Vassilieva, Marc Coppey, Alissa Margulis, David Grimal, Bertrand Chamayou, Pierre-Henri Xuereb, Valérie Aimard, the Johannes Quartet, Marina Chiche, Sebastien Van Kuijk, Alexandra Grot…
In 2005 he won the international contest of Chioggia (Italy) thanks to a memorable interpretation of the 2nd Concerto of Chopin. Aurélien Pontier is prize winner of the foundation "Arts Academy" of Rome and for this reason will start a collaboration with the Symphony orchestra of Rome then will record his first CD.
